need help with Feng shui?
I am recently getting into feng shui to help my home to be more relaxing and energy flowing better. I cant go out and buy feng shui items... but was wondering what would be good objects to use that I may have lying around the house for metal, earth, wood and fire? I have a crystal bowl with water in it and floating candles... would that work for water in the living room? i need help... not sure what items are usuable...

you already mentioned that master yang emphasized the importance of selecting an auspicious site, yet you force your idea on having some sort of fengshui items like crystal, etc. obviously, you dont know anything about fengshui.
there is no such thing as a quick fix in fengshui, i think if you really know fengshui. then by now, you should realize that. this means, people around who says that certain items can make you rich or make the energy flow or something is just pulling your leg and want you to buy that thing from them.
the elements, if you really know how to use them, are not supposed to be used so literal. because it just dont work that way. you are kinda lost in translation. to use the elements, you must at leat know flying stars. if you know flying stars then you know how to use the elements. for example in certain areas where there is too much fire based on the chart, you can you still water (not moving water, because moving water can activate the fire, and make it harm the occupant) or salt water cure to keep the fire in control.
there is no such thing as the literal flow of energy. i think you'd understand this more if you know flying star method - again. because when you know this method, you'd understand how the energy "flows", and how you can optimize your life, without using fengshui items.
using the fengshui methods like flying stars, 8 mansions, xuan kong da gua, etc, is more powerful than using fengshui items/ objects.
the dragon denotes the structure that surrounds your house. in ancient times, this will be the mountains, today, this will be the buildings around. land formations, did that fengshui course a long time ago, and... when you have time and money, i think you can just create your own ideeal land embrace/ the dragon's breath. but most people dont. and they just want to optimize life with what they have, so i do think that in most cases, flying stars is useful than the dragon. besides, you can always use dragon water in your house to double the good energy in your life.
