One of the most difficult decisions to take when it comes to home decorating is regarding the window treatment. The reason for this could very well be the fact that there are just so many options nowadays that you can get easily confused about what to buy, which type goes best with your ambient and what is chic nowadays anyway.
There are really two major types of window treatments: hard and soft. Hard window treatments contain shutters, screens, glass applications and blinds. Soft treatments use fabric to create curtains, valances, shades and draperies for your window.
When you are talking about glass treatments, you are actually discussing the various glass materials such as stained glass, frosted glass, beveled glass, glass blocks and similar. I'm sure many of you have seen stained glass treatments, even churches use them often. This is to block people from peeking in through the windows. While earlier on the stained glass treatments were installed permanently, nowadays you can actually attach them to an existing windows and later on you can take them down if you so desire.
Shutters are still popular these days and you can find them at the windows of many houses. They are made of either real or faux wood and provide optimal insulation and no peek-in.
Using window screens is quite popular as well. Not only they give you privacy but unlike the shutters, they allow sunlight to come through. If you have an Asian themed room, you can use shojis, some Japanese styled treatments that are made of rice paper panes. On the other hand you can also use mid-eastern and Spanish windows with grillwork screens as they have some quite interesting patterns on them.
Also you can choose between Venetian blinds, vertical blinds, woven wood blinds, your choice is really endless.
When you are talking about soft window treatments, you are really thinking of the many types of fabrics that can make up your curtains. For example you can use Roman shades and roller shades for a modern variety. They usually fold horizontally when you tug at the cord.
You can also use valances, and while they are not really functional, they are very aesthetic in nature enhancing your room decor. Also curtains are very popular and they simply control how much sunlight enters the room. You can also keep the room privacy intact and decorate your room with proper color curtains.
These are just some of the many popular treatments for your windows available.
For example, if you have arch windows, the arch window treatments are perfect for your home. Read more about the best way to use them at http://www.archwindowtreatments.net/.
Tennis Question?
I always had a problem with playing with the right grip. i used eastern forehand but my pointer finger would always be straight on the largest bevel of the grip. Now I'm sort of getting used to the normal eastern forehand grip. The only problem now is hitting with power. I cant seem to hit with any power like this. If i swing fast it goes way out. What should i do?
get access to topspin. Try using a semi-western grip. When you go through your stroke and finish off, you should brush upwards and out against the ball and follow through. This way you can keep your power but have the topspin keep it in the court.
